I'm Kelsey

Hi there! I'm an intimate wedding and elopement photographer who calls Indiana home, but is constantly going somewhere else. I've stood on top of Kilimanjaro, went scuba diving with eagle rays in the Keys, helped protect elephants in Kenya, and hiked the best views in Yosemite. I believe love stories are the greatest stories, and I'm here to help you create a wedding day that feels like you: fun, adventurous, and a little untraditional.

Handmade Wooden Photo Boxes For My Couples

I have a fun new thing to announce: heirloom handmade wooden photo boxes!!! (They’re handmade by my dad!)

I started including photo boxes in newly booked wedding collections a little while back. Just now finally the very first of many boxes are going to their homes and I’m so excited to share them!

I wanted to include something tangible in your wedding collection because honestly it’s way too easy to just let your wedding photos sit on a computer forever and not exist in the physical world. And I say that as a wedding photographer. Who loved her own wedding photos and still has exactly 0 of them hanging in her house. (I know, I’m the worst)

That’s why photo boxes are so great: cute little heirloom boxes made to stand the test of time. They can sit in your living room, on a bookshelf, on your dresser. Every once in a while you, or your spouse, or your future children can look back at the memories preserved inside. No matter how technology changes, what’s inside your photo box will live on forever.

Handmade wooden photo boxes, made by my dad

Every photo box is handmade by my own dad. We went through some rough draft designs before settling on this one. It holds a selection of 4×6 prints, a photo USB with your gallery on it, and a sliding lid.

It’s sweet enough to imagine him making all of these photo boxes in our barn. On top of that, they’re ALSO made from the wood of trees that fell down on his land, where I grew up. It makes me emotional to think about. He loves woodworking, using a sawmill, and finally having something to do with all the trees that fall down. It’s perfect.

So yeah. Putting my heart and soul into this business is an understatement. Your heirloom handmade wooden photo boxes are literally made with love from trees that grew on the land that made me who I am.

Newer booked wedding collections all include one of these photo boxes. If your collection didn’t include one, or your wedding is already past, you can absolutely add-on one with your own memories! Send me an email.
