Sunset autumn engagement session at Prophetstown State Park in West Lafayette, Indiana | Kelsey Lefever Photography

I'm Kelsey

Hi there! I'm an intimate wedding and elopement photographer who calls Indiana home, but is constantly going somewhere else. I've stood on top of Kilimanjaro, went scuba diving with eagle rays in the Keys, helped protect elephants in Kenya, and hiked the best views in Yosemite. I believe love stories are the greatest stories, and I'm here to help you create a wedding day that feels like you: fun, adventurous, and a little untraditional.

Mary Kate + Alec

Sunset autumn engagement session at Prophetstown State Park in West Lafayette

I first met Mary Kate over three years ago when we went on the same study abroad trip in undergrad! While were studying at Purdue, we both went on the monthlong trip to Tanzania in east Africa. We taught at local schools on the coast for three weeks and then ventured inland for a safari through Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Although we didn’t know each other before the trip, sharing so many meals and experiences brought us together. I have a lot of memories of our dinners at Fish Eagle Point, exploring in Arusha and Tanga, and camping out on safari. At the time she was just dating Alec, and I’m so excited that they’re tying the knot now! Mary Kate has an absolute heart of gold and I know that Alec is perfect for her, and they’re going to do so many great things for the world. (And I’m extra happy that they trust me to capture their memories!)

For their engagement session, we met up on a golden evening at Prophetstown State Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. Mary Kate and Alec kept giggling because they’d never kissed so many times in front of someone! We had a blast together and I cannot wait for their wedding next year.
