Sunset extended family session at Marian University in Indianapolis | Kelsey Lefever Photography

I'm Kelsey

Hi there! I'm an intimate wedding and elopement photographer who calls Indiana home, but is constantly going somewhere else. I've stood on top of Kilimanjaro, went scuba diving with eagle rays in the Keys, helped protect elephants in Kenya, and hiked the best views in Yosemite. I believe love stories are the greatest stories, and I'm here to help you create a wedding day that feels like you: fun, adventurous, and a little untraditional.

Sunset extended family session at Marian University in Indianapolis

The Betz family is SO fun to work with, and it was great to see them again and meet more of their family for an extended family session at Marian University! I shot Maggie and Alex’s engagement session almost two years ago and did Chloe’s senior pictures earlier this year as well. (She’s the awesome ballerina!)

All of the Betz family kids and grandkids decided to surprise grandma with an extended family photo session to get pictures of all of them together. They totally rocked their outfits and coordinated so well together. It was so fun to snag pictures of all their family units, of each couple, of all the grandkids.

The sunset was absolutely STUNNING through the trees and while taking photos of the grandkids, I turned around at one point and saw their grandma was crying. She was SO HAPPY to have their entire family together and doing this. My heart absolutely melted.

I say this a lot, but getting pictures done is so important. Moments like these, with everyone together, don’t happen everyday, but they mean so much.

No family session is complete without some quick portraits too. 🙂
